Tried many times to inflate using track/floor pump and even CO2 cartridge. was getting really fed up over few days of trying.

Removed the valve collar and pushed the valve back up into the rim, then re-tighten the collar pulling the valve back into place. Lubricated the tyre bead with loads of soppy water and then it inflated a piece of cake with just the track pump.

The key is soppy water and correct tyre bead location round the valve.Mark Tylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13252070254264717672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268768344135254042.post-72679277238655213622011-06-13T13:34:56.699-07:002011-06-13T13:34:56.699-07:00Ok - just fitted my first tubeless road tyres, Hut...Ok - just fitted my first tubeless road tyres, Hutchinson Fusion 3 on Dura Ace 7850s. The first one went on no problems, 1st bead on easy, sealant in (no removable valve cores here so sealant goes in first), then simply rolled the 2nd bead on by hand, quick go on the track pump and 100psi is in. 5 minute job. What's so hard?

The second tyre didn't go so well... It took 20 minutes to wrestle the tyre on, and I now have a blister on one hand. The sealant went everywhere. Then would it take any pressure? No. 30 minutes f*****g around with track pumps and c02 cartridges got me nowhere...

Then google brought me here - I read the chat about pushing the valve in and out to seat the first bit of the tyre and 2 minutes later I'm sorted and ready to roll.

Thanks!Andy Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10499453634754801497noreply@blogger.com
